Scratch that...found a way to reset all to GOOD, go to the ones that are not 'good', hit 2, seek button to view codes, then hold 2 and you should see CLR with a long loud annoying beep.

now how do i get to the audio menu??

i really want to see if this works or not, that way i dont have to spend money on subs

sweet sticky and very informative.

I went outside last night and pulled my a/c filter, although it was still pretty clean. I guess I'm not surprised since it only has 26k on the odometer. I also reset the ECU last week from another thread and noticed a difference.

I'm thinking about taking it in to change the settings for unlocking all doors when I press the remote unlock once, also thinking about having them change to unlock all 4 doors when the drivers door opens.

My wipers are already in summer mode but that is a cool free-be and I played with the radio after I pulled into work and got P190 Good, P360 Good and P440 Good. I can't figure out how to change the audio settings but honestly I didn't have a print out and couldn't remember the steps, so I'll play with that when I have some free time.

Thanks to all that have contributed on this thread. Very interesting stuff for a Lexus New-be like myself.

is there a way to have our side view mirrors angle down like in BMWs when you shift into reverse?

I gotta say....the audio menu secret DOES work w/the Nav system. I have a 99 w/1st gen nav. worked great!! set the F, R, and W to 7. Then set P1 to 3.....sounds much much more clean and I do have a lil more bass. Still going to put a couple 10s in the sectioned off part of the trunk.

my wipers were already in summer mode

changed the smog filter to max.....my daughter has a breathing problem where she can't be around a lot of smoke or smogging situations. so thats a good thing i can turn the filtering up more

also turned on ASL for the radio...haven't been on the freeway yet to try it

this car is just AWESOME i've always wanted a GS400 since they came out in 98 and finally got one. cant wait to do some nice mods to it. keep the sleek luxury look but make it more aggressive at the same time.

On the subject of the windows, they all drop/sunroof opens if you hold the unlock button, but do NOT go back up if you hold the lock button because holding the lock button activates the panic alarm. To raise your windows back up after exiting the car, insert the key into the keyhole on the drivers door, and turn and hold the key to the left. The windows should raise back up.

jcat, this was explained already. Outside the USA, they go back up with the remote. However, stupid regulations make them disable it for USA cars. ****in laws...lol

Use your second seat control button and set it so the mirrors are where you want them

requires putting the car in park, pressing the memory button, then going back into reverse.

You can try ebay. I bought a spare key for my car a couple months ago. It's much cheaper than the dealership's price.

Thanks for the update, I just got a blank one from ebay but then I still have to code it.

Do you know any other I could go code it apart from Lexus dealers? I think it might cost about same thing if I go to the dealership.

Thanks!
