Default vsc and pwr button urgent help

hello guys so i got an gs400 2000 with 180k the speedometer was faulty the needle is not working so i bought an gs300 2001 and its working perfectly but the problem is neither on my new or old speedometer vsc or pwr button or cruise is working and i tried to see if the traction control is on but i tried to take a hard turn and the tail swinged and i didnt lose power and it do donuts tho😂 so how should i check the buttons they are not working but the heating are working on one side only

Are you saying you got two different cars? (gs400 and a gs300) or are you saying you swapped out a gs300 instrument cluster and put it in your gs400?

I would start by checking if theres any codes so we can see what area the problem is in.

i swapped out a g300 instrument to my gs400 and what happened today actually i turned off the vsc but i didnt hear a beep or anything and then i floored the pedal and it swayed right and left i turned the car off and turn it on again and i did the same the car didnt sway or swing and it accelerated normally so whats the problem with the buttons

GS3 (2jz) and GS4 (1UZ) have different motors therefore, have slightly different computers. You cannot simply interchange instrument clusters between the two... Change it out with same year, same model before you cause a bigger obstacle.

Yeah, what he said! The engines have different redlines as well, so the tach's will be slightly different (and may not even read correctly)

I agree with what's been said above. Theres a lot more to instrument clusters than what most people believe, in my saab the interlock was in there. SO anyways yeah the computers recognizing a fault and like basically all lexus and toyotas turn off the vsc (vehicle stability control, which explains the ability to spin the heck out of the tires).
