windows roll on thier own?

Default windows roll on thier own?

hi. at 1st i thought i was crazy, so i didn't ask earlier but i know 4 sure now i'm not. when i park and leave my car. if its real hot day, (and in florida it uaually is) i come 2 find my windows cracked open. like if to cool the car a little or something like that. now i have the car a 2yrs and this never happened b4. ever since i put the music in, mayb the battery was disconnected 4 a long time or something and i i have 2 do or reset something.? not sure what do i need 2 do? this happen 2 anyone?

do you have an aftermarket alarm system or some kind of window roll up?

You could have held the unlock button down as you approached the car and they started the auto-roll down.

You know how that works, right?

ya i thought the same thing but its not that, i locked the car walked away yesterday and its was a hot day so when i came back later while walking up too the car i noticed the windows cracked open b4 i even hit the alarm. never happen 2 anyone here.?

WOW......you can do that? i gotta read the instructions more often. I just went and checked. It even opens up the sun roof. Ive only had my car for 6-8 months ...nows a good time to crack the manual...

Yep. You can also roll them all up by putting the key in the drivers side door lock and turning and holding
in the lock position.


It may be time to resurrect one of the old 'did you know this about your GS" threads for all the new folks here

ya i had the car 4 a yr b4 i knew about the roll downs and dave u just informed about the roll ups. didn't know that but i still am wondoring about these windows cracking open. i'm not crazy dave. its really happend a couple of times..

'did you know' thread would help cause the auto lock when I put the car in drive kind of bothers me.
Especially when i pull out of the garage and people have to get in.


bluelex - sorry...can't help you there. Never happened to me but wait to see if it happens again..could have been just a freak 1 time thing.

Your not crazy. The same thing has been happening to me on a off and on basis! I just ignored it thinking I probably held down the button too long at first, but then, when I would purposely check and what not, I'd still come back to the car with the windows cracked. Very Weird.

ya this has happen a couple of times, i just never mentioned it cus i thought i was crazy but when it happen again yesterday i knew i wasn't crazy. i mean its just another nice small feature that makes u want 2 always drive a lexus but than again if i park somewhere on a hot day like a beach area or mall or even the supermarket i don't feel comfortable that the windows may open a little and make it easier 4 someone 2 get in and take my stuff and run...is thier anything we can do?
