Brake and abs issue
Hi I'm looking for abit of help and advice please. I have a lexus gs300 1998 and the vsc/vsc off and abs lights are on. When they were off I was getting hardly any brakes and a brake warning alarm but when lights are on brakes are fine and no alarm? I have replaced the brake master cylinder/abs pump but still the same. Anyone any advice on what the problem could be? Thanks any help will be appreciated

Any guesses provided are just that and will likely waste time and money. Find a way to get the Engine and ABS system scanned for Diagnostic Trouble Codes and then report back for some suggestions.

Thanks. We had it on a basic diagnostic and that showed nothing but got it booked in tomorrow at a garage that specialise more in jap cars. Otherwise I think it will be lexus bound

Make sure they use a scan tool capable of scanning the ABS/VSC brake system for codes. Its not the same module or codes as the OBDII (engine) codes that most consumer grade (inexpensive) scan tools are limited to.
