I seen them on ebay for $400 without tires, but by time I by tires too I might be at like $1600. Like I said that I am was thinking about buying them. Now it looks like I will change my mind. I don't really want to spend that much on some rims. I would perfer a set of the GS 17" alloys. So now it's like I don't know what to do. Here is the way my car looks now. And I thank all you guys for being honest with me

Thumbs down

They look good on a 1st or 2nd gen LS, one of the members on CL has them. But they look bad on almost every other lexus car that i have seen.

philly,

When I got the SC, I tried the SC rims on the GS. I quickly bought another set of rims. Don't spend the money now. Wait a few months more and save up for what you really want.

Your car look incredibly better now that it would with the SC wheels. The GS really needs a sporty wheel to compliment the body.

I've spent 9 months trying to REPLACE those wheels on my SC. I certainly wouldn't recommend them to anyone else. Keep on searchin'!

I second what dseag2 just stated.. Couldn't get those damn wheels off my car fast enough.. On the GS is just looks WRONG.. However there is suppose to be a new center cap that looks like a curved 5 star (Search in the SC430 forum for the picture) that replaces that ugly dinner plate.. That rim with that center cover looks MUCH better and would look OK on the GS in my humble opinion..

There is a fella here with a GS and SC and he put the SC wheels on his GS. He has pics in the gallery and in the SC 430 forum.

I only opened this thread to tell you how silly the SC wheels look (and they do, on the SC), but when I saw your photoshopped pic I had to change my mind. They're not my favorite wheels, but they look better than the vast majority of non-factory wheels I see people post around here. Judging by how many people are advising against it, at least you'd have something unique and attention-getting too!

Default How about these!

I'm getting the WORK's LS, BUT still I'd like to have a set of these for the winter hours here in Philly.... This guy on Ebay selling them pretty cheap: $1100 w/o tires.

"PURE PERFORMANCE(VAPC = VACUMM AND PRESSURE CASTING = NEWEST TECHNOLOGY IN WHEELS CASTING IN JAPAN..VERY TOUGH..VERY DURABLE.AND EXTREMELY LIGHT IN WEIGHT)....SUPER-LIGHT WEIGHT ALLOY WHEELS..ONLY 22 LBS PER WHEEL(18"X9")-- MADE IN JAPAN" said on his auction.

I saw a GS with those SC rims in Manhattan a few months back on 35th and 10th Ave and I didn't like the look of it at all. I even posted a question on here to ask if it belonged to anybody but there was no response.

Those rims have to be the ugliest rims I've even seen (no offense). I remember when I saw the SC prototype or whatever you want to call it. I was hoping they'd change the rims when the production version came out but they obviously didn't.
