tip for replacement subwoofer
For those of you with blown subwoofers, here is a tip:
This is a peerless SLS 10" subwoofer, fits flush in the OEM subwoofer mounting position. My JBL sub in my aristo blew, but unfortunately its a dual voice coil subwoofer. For the GS300, i beleive its a single voice coil so the SLS 10" would be a perfect cheap replacement. It has far more excursion then the OEM subwoofer and should have decent sensitivity so you can use the OEM amplifier to drive it.
You can cut out the old subwoofer from its mounting flange and then rivet this subwoofer into place to make it bolt in, it would fit perfectly either way. Just seal everything with silicone.
