Default 2001 gs430 High miles should I buy !

Hello everyone I was looking at buying a 2001 gs430 with a whooping 299900 miles on it . Should I be running away from it or not? It drove great and had wear and tear on the seats and paint but cosmetic. I was gonna do the timing belt and water pump along with front ball joints for starters . I can get it for under 1500 with some negotiating!

Depends on the service history. My '99 GS400 has 225k and runs like new. My brother-in-law just purchased a one-owner '98 GS300 with 282k. We pulled the CarFax and put the VIN in at LexusDrivers.com and the service was impeccable. So make sure you do that. You should see the TB/WP changed at regular intervals (every 90-100k). These cars will run forever with proper maintenance!

Depends 100% on history and price imo.
