Default Blinker indicator not coming on?

Hi guys,
Having an issue with my 2001 Gs300. All the lights interior and exterior work (brakes, turn signals, etc). The dash indicator for the turn signals does not come on when the turn signals are in use.

Also have the brake light warning signal showing on the dash..

thanks in advance for any input.

Bulb probably just went out in the gauge cluster. Pop out the cluster and replace it. IIRC the bulb is a T3 or T4 bulb. Twists right out like a Christmas tree light.

Is it just one bulb that shines for both of the indicators? Because neither one of them works. Thanks for the reply!

Do you hear the relay click when you activate it?

The turn signals wouldn't work if the relay wasn't "clicking", also the Lexus relay is silent and doesn't click.

That may be the case but there is still a "relay click" when they're operated, emanating from the gauge cluster.

Upon further investigation, someone had been into the cluster before. They left a narrow plug unplugged. Its always something like that lol

I bought this car for the purpose of resale. Got it for $500 because the brake control system under the hood was dead. I think it was actually the master cylinder that had died, but I can't be sure. After research, I found that it was a common problem and that in later years, they had corrected the issue. So I bought a used part that was confirmed to be off of a later model, and replaced the entire unit myself. So I've got something like $1300 into the car now, and I intend to sell it for about $4300. If I am successful, I may begin to specialize in buying, resurrecting, and selling Lexus cars.
