Default What else am i missing with my first maintenance mods?

Just purchased a 2000 Lexus Gs300. 160k miles. it was a blind purchase and ill be receive it this Thursday. I was told the car had the timing belt done at 120k miles but there are no documents so I'm not taking the chance.

What i have in my shopping cart:

engine :

- 6 Denso plugs
- NGK wire kit (blue)
- 6 oem coil connectors (in case mine is broken)
- throttle body gasket
- intake manifold gasket
- valve cover gasket
- air filter
- pcv valve

front suspension:

-Moog lower ball joints
-Moog upper a arm with ball joints pressed in
-Moog end links
-Moog inner tie rod
-Moog outer tie rod

Now i need help with rear suspension or anything else you guys can think of. i want to make the car feel like new again. i don't know how it feels currently but i still want to replace all of it for the future years i put on it. thanks guys.

new air filter, clean or replace the maf sensor, and check and replace all fluids.

you are taking a risk but it may be worth it these cars are great.

There should be a sticker on the engine if the timing belt was done by the dealer; you can also check the maintenance history at LexusDrivers.com.

Seems like you've got the rest covered. I just helped my brother-in-law purchase a one-owner 1998 GS300 with 282k, so you've got a lot of life left in that car.

Yeah, get the Figs bushings. It's $155 with free expedited shipping. You can get the standard/non adjustable or the adjustable depending on what your plans are. Standard/non adjustable is fine for daily or mild drops.

Since your car is a 2000, jack it up and look at the caster arm. If it's got a small bump on the arm near the bushing, then you'll need the bigger 65mm bushing. If it doesn't then you can get the 60mm bushing. Figs will email you and have you confirm all this when you order.

thanks guys. as long as the caster arm bushings give no extra harness or vibrations. this car, I'm steering clear from performance. i just want that soft oem bushings for everything and really want the luxury feel how a normal great condition gs300 feels.

You'll only need 3 coil connectors as there's only 3 coil packs. Only other thing I'd mention is at least checking/cleaning your pollen filter as everyone forgets about them

i picked up a 98 GS3 with 161k recently here's what im doing
door actuator,
coolant flush green to red coolant(previously owner used green)
front shocks
front lower ball joints
do all your fluids, previously owner said he just did a change, oil was really dark
Cabin air filter, probably same one from factory
Trans mount, the rubber hardens over time,
grease moving parts (sun roof rails, steering wheel teliscope)
night shaded the faded inner tail lights red
