Does power steering pulley have to come off to get alternator off?
I have everything just about off and need to know if I have to remove the power steering pulley. Seems like it will drop out the bottom easy enough.
If it does I will need to get a pulley holding tool.

I have done it both from the bottom and the top. It is easier to do it from the top although you still need to get under to disconnect the wiring connector. The steering pulley was not difficult to remove. It only took some light tapping to come off. If I recall correctly you can also unbolt the steering and move it out of the way.
BTW if your alternator has failed it could be because the power steering pump is leaking fluid on to the alternator. So you may need to change the pump also. Hence remove everything at once form the top.
