Arrow 98 gs400 with a VVT problemCEL on, as is the VSC lights

As the title suggests, having a problem with the VVT.Problem is both were changed but yet the cel,vsc and vsc off lights still on.Any idea what else I can look at to end this issue?Do I have to drive a while for these to go out?Car drives perfect even with these lights on.

If you don't have a code reader, disconnect battery for 10 min or so and then clear it, see if it comes back. If not, forget it ever existed...

When I got the car back the mechanic had cleared the codes. Then about half hour later, the cel light came on,then the vsc, vsc off lights came on.Do you still think Disconnecting the battery/clearing the codes will still work? Ive never seen anything like this.

If they came back then clearing them again probably won't help much. Do you know what codes were pulled?

Thats the part I don't understand. Both of the vvt's were replaced.Everything I read said at that point the lights should go off.I seem to recall 1 of the codes was for the right side and the other code was for the left side vvtr.

My GS4 tripped a code on the drivers side VVTi solenoid because I had it off by one tooth when I put the timing belt in. I didn't rotate the engine enough to see that I had it tensioned on side and not the other. It ran ok, not quote right, but the ECU noticed that it was off a tooth. It just didn't know how to tell me.

Edit:
You can pop the cam phaser covers off and line up the crank pulley (might need to remove lower covers) to check it and make sure. Not too hard to do. You can line it up and inspect it without getting too deep into it.

You could at least check the cam phaser covers without the crank being lined up, because the crank will line up to one of the 2 if one of them is off. So you WON'T be able to line both cams up if one is off, doesn't matter where the crank is right now.
