Default non-vvti 2jzgte swap in '99 gs300 motor mount help!!

What's up guys, I'm fairly new to this forum, but I've been digging around here for quite a while trying to find what motor mounts will work with my swap, but I haven't come up with any solid answers. So the car I'm swapping a motor into is a 1999 lexus gs300, and the motor is a non-vvti jdm 2jzgte. Now I have two sets of motor mounts that I've tried, and neither of them have worked successfully. The first set is the newer style supra mounts (97-98 I believe? they're the taller ones, and they're too wide to fit in the subframe of my car). The other set are the oem GS300 mounts that came on the stock n/a vvti 2j (these are the right width, they just turn the motor ever so slightly just enough as to were I can't bolt up my r154 trans). Has anybody done this swap that can shed some light? Maybe a for sure answer somewhere? Cause I can't seem to figure this out.. thanks in advance yo! also, here's a picture of my build thus far.

The original owner was Adam I believe. If you bought it directly from him, maybe ask him? He had the same setup, R154 with a GTE but his was VVTI I believe (that shouldn't matter though). Sorry I can't answer your question but what's the spec on the wheels? They look super aggressive even with the serialnine fenders. I have a 99 also was under the impression that the stock GS300 mounts work.

yes I realize the owner before me was Adam.. Lol, and the non-vvti and the vvti don't have the same mounting points from the bracket to the block. So the stock gs mounts won't work. Adam just ran the stock n/a block.

And as for wheel specs I'll probably post a build thread up here soon, I'll throw the specs on there

I didn't know that. All the more reason for me to use the VVTI if I ever attempt the swap.

Im doing that swap now get with dan at first state motorsports in delaware they make a mount braket for the exhaust side that needs to be changed you will need the gs300 mounts and brackets but after that will fit like a glove i used the stock trans mount for the r154 kept the rubber but changed the metal bracket that bolts to the car

I ended up using an Aristo driver side mounting bracket on the driver's side, and the gs300 driver side bracket on the passenger side.. Little strange but everything bolted up just fine! Just used the driftmotion r154 mounting kit for my trans as well
