Default Has anyone tried to fit Supra spec CCWs on a 2GS?

Here are the specs:
Front: 18 x 10 et44 285/30/18
Rear: 17 x 11.5 et51 315/35/17

I know plenty of guys are running around on this combo for the SC300/400, but I've never seen them in a 2GS.

Thanks!

I believe much modification will need to be done to run these comfortably. Check here: http://www.rimtuck.com/search/thumbn...=2005&sort=11d for variations of the setup. There arent any with those specs, but some are close and you can see how aggressive it would be. I would think an inch of protrusion would be expected from factory panel spec.

Thank you for the link but I think you have it backwords

There will be no issues to the outside (my style95s are much more aggressive to the outside and I don't rub at all). The issue I'm concerned about is to the inside (control arm/coilover clearance).

The 17x11.5 51mm only has 4.24" of frontspacing which isn't that aggressive. But it's extremely aggressive in how much it extends to the inside.

I'd like to talk to someone who has tried it before shelling out the dough

I haven't tried it, but if my general fitment knowledge is correct, you're probably looking at needing 10 mm spacers all around (really confident that the rear needs that size spacer).

Based on my various sets of wheels, the fronts will require about a 5-8mm spacer to clear the suspension upright.

The rears will need to be spaced out about 7-8mm to keep you off of the forward inner arch and control arms.

One alternative would be to just change the inner barrels and reduce them by 1/2"
Better yet re-hoop them entirely and move them out entirely by 1/2"

Rear: 18x11 +24 265/35/18
Swiss cut, clear and anodized centers

i doubt the 315s would fit without alot of modification to the fenders and suspension..
