Default Replacing headlight on 02 GS300 - any instructions?

I bought a pair of replacement headlights for my 2002 GS after too many times of polishing the lights to get the yellow out, and it progressively looking worse over time, every time I would. The car stays in the FL sun (attached pic of the "now" and soon to be "after". Problem is - they came with no instructions. I saw a Youtube video for some halo replacements where the guy removed the entire front bumper. Is that necessary...or can I do it without removing the bumper? Thanks

If you can do it without taking the bumper off, you and David blaine should do shows together in Vegas...

lol. I read somewhere you can do it without removing the bumper, but I felt like I was gonna break the bumper trying to get to the bolt under the highbeam so I just removed the bumper.

Removing the bumper is not all that hard, just a bunch of fasteners to remove. I'd rather do that than try contortions and pulling/prying to try to get the lights out without removing the bumper.

Take out the bumper, it's not a big deal.

Changing just a headlight, it is.
I can't believe what Toyota engineers thought when they made it like that.

Some say you can get them off without removing the bumper if you don't put the bottom bolts on or something like that.
It applies only to models without headlight washers (and HIDs?).

Exactly, it's not hard at all to remove the bumper.

Like everyone has mentioned, it IS possible to remove the headlights without removing the bumper but to be honest you'll probably end up damaging either the paint on the bumper or a tab on the new headlights. It's not difficult to remove the bumper as you might think, just a matter of being patient and locating the bolts. The just loosen the fender liner and you'll see the bolts you need to loosen. I'm surprised there's not a DIY on this, I think I'll go ahead and do one when I replace mine soon.

i have done it MANY times without removing the bumper, although i did unbolt a section of the bumper, it is indeed easier with the bumper off, just not completely needed.
