Default Is Dexron III correct for steering fluid? PS cap says ATF type dexron II or dexron

Looking to flush the power steering fluid on my 2004 GS430 but I'm lost.

The power steering resovoir cap says ATF type dexron II or dexron.
I'm finding toyota dexron III though.

Is this the right stuff? Better? Perfect?

Thanks in advance for the help and guidance!

Dexron 6 is also fine which is likely what you will usually find.

Skip the expensive stuff, and pour in any old Dex 3 and be golden. I used the penzoil stuff, and its working fine

How many quarts are you guys using to refill after a flush?

And thank you all for the advice here!

I can't remember how big the reservoir is but it is probably only a qt or so. What I do is suck all the fluid out of the reservoir and refill with new. Run the car for a few minutes turning the steering wheel lock to lock. Once I do that, I suck all that fluid out and refill and do that again. after I have done that twice, I refill with new and I am done. Assuming the reservoir is 1 quart, it will take 3 quarts.

I bought a tool a long time ago that connects to my compressor and allows me to suck up fluid into a large plastic jar. Not sure if Harbor Freight still carries them or not. I just used it yesterday when I did a brake fluid flush.
