Default Some new mods

Put the performance chasing aside for a bit to go after some exterior upgrades. Got the grill from c-modgrilles.com and the tte knockoff lip from ebay. Gotta say, really impressed with the build quality of the cmod grill from hongkong. it was only 115 shipped and its the tte design I believe. painted both of them today at work and sprayed abunch of clear so their sitting over the weekend will final install Monday. Using urethane adhesive used for windows to body for lip install.

Yes, I too love the lip and grill. I did a crap load of searching every grille made until I found the one that I thought looked the best then was lucky enough to find a supplier that made the exact same one. The location of latch seems very sturdy, it has to be drilled for the two mounting bolts but other than that its good to go. ordered a large chrome lexus L badge off ebay today so will mount it up on the grill asap.

Nice man! Love it. Love the headlights too, they are shining man! Mine are the opposite...

Which seller did you get the lip from and how was the fitment? I found some too, one of them has 4 screws that seem to line out with the bumper screws (the one from bestracingmotors). Thanks a lot!

I don't recall who on ebay I bought the lip from just that they were a top rated seller. Now if I had to do it again I probably would have tried to get a genuine tte lip only because of its exact fitment. I temporarily mounted the lip on than used a heat gun and a pair of pliers to soften the urethane and mold it precisely to the front bumper. In the future when I go to get the bumper repainted to fix all the road rash I'll probably mold the lip to the bumper for cleaner look. Im installing the parts Monday so ill take pics and post.

after you heated and molded it did it sit pretty well? I've heard the sides aren't as long as the bumper so the lip comes up short, I only can find those replicas and i don't think TTE is worth the same price as some bumpers.

installed c mod grille and permanently molded front replica tte lip. rattle can painted the grill and the lip and used Toyota black paint and three coats of clear. used urethane to hold lip on and for safety used three bolts with lock nuts underneath lip. I have a large chrome o.e. lexus emblem from a newer gs350 that'll be in Friday I will mount on the mesh grille. it measures 4 1/8 inch tall by 5 7/8 wide. it should look sweet.

I vote too big too. Did you try and fit the one from the stock grille?

I know what look you are going for. Contact Kyle Harty about the right size emblem.
This is his car below.
