Default 99 GS300 from Taiwan

Hello fellow CL Members,

I just want to say the amount of information shared on this forum about the GS is amazing. Any problems I've ran into so far this forum has the answers to it. I am also an admin for a Taiwan FB group and have shared plenty of DIY information from here. Gotta thank the contributors over the years on this forum for sharing the knowledge.

I've been a member on here for over a year but haven't done much to my GS until the last few months due to maintenance work that had to be done first. Sourcing parts isn't that cheap here as there is a premium with any OEM Lexus brand on it. I can say the good thing about being in Taiwan is that labor is cheaper and plenty of electrical parts for me to source from. Just want to share my 99 GS 300 build thus far with about 105,000 miles.

Regular Maintenance:
NGK Spark plug,
OEM timing belt,
Battery

Break down repair:
Accelerator Pedal Position Sensor, Throttle position sensor-VSC VSC off Limp mode

Wow, really love the CCFL door lights. Do you have a link to where you found yours, by chance?

The whole car looks great, man. Welcome!

Which city in Taiwan are you in? We go to Taichung about every year.

Thank you all for the comments.

rogzballz I currently live in Taipei but has a home in Taichung. I also run a FB group here and have a meet on 8/22 for Lexus owners. The market is weird here, everyone is so secretive...

vipXjunky and mveale, thanks for the comments and interests, unfortunately I do not have links to the items. Like I've said in my post, if you are interested I can get you six pieces for lengths under the wood grain and under the front door pockets. or whatever length you like with one inverter. Taiwan has some ridiculous items that are not well marketed. So I will do what I can to get it to the rest of the world.

Will be starting a site separate from CL for Asia. Will keep y'all posted with new mod ideas and vendors when the time comes.

Thanks for following and the positive comments.

PS. Hopefully AirRex will be installed by the time the next meet comes around.
