Lexus doesnt sell the lighter separate, its a whole unit with the ashtray (usually around $100 on ebay). However, you can buy one at any parts store and install it with minimal wire tampering. Just need to pry off the old one and screw in the new one. I cant remember if the factory ones screw off from the back or not with a threaded ring like aftermarket ones. I dont think it does, it may snap in

Which is the reason that you have to change it? You know you have an extra one cigarette lighter in your drawer, inside of the console. You can use that one if you need to connect something including a cigarette lighter. I use that to charge my cellphone.

The convenience of having it right up front can be quite priceless for some people, especially if they're smokers. Personally I prefer having the one up front rather than having to use the one in the armrest; being fat has its disadvantages.

I think thats right, either way, reverse it and see what happens. Worst thing to happen is another blown fuse.
