How do I tell the difference? I don't know which ones I have installed.

hate to bump this thread but i am looking into gettin a 01 gs300 here soon and was curious what bulb size the fog light is, and what hid brightness you guys with yellow fogs are running im assuming 9006 and 3000k?. Im assuming the low beam is a 9005? Looking to get a ddm kit.. Do the 2001s all come with hid factory? If so ill just change fogs and keep factory.

Low beam and fog lights are both 9006. High beam is 9005. I'm running 3000K HID fogs and the housings have the yellow capsules in them.

@dreamcar88 - Take a look at this 2001 Lexus GS300 Lamp Replacement Guide for a full bulb listing for your vehicle.

Be careful with 55W HID kits.

Vendors selling 55W HID kits use 35W Bulbs, and advise their customer that the bulbs can handle up to 60W. This is false... All they are doing is overdriving the 35W bulb, which means that the bulb will run hotter and burn out prematurely. Hotter bulbs may mean damage to your headlights.

Interested in doing this (car's gotten kinda boring now that it has no issues - lol).
Question: Does the HID fog light make a significant driving/lighting improvement over the normal fog light? Or does it just "scatter" the light aka just a hella more bright?
