Default GS400 vs GS430 Exhaust System

Hello all, I have done my searching but i cannot find any info on this.. But recently i lost my 99 GS400 in a car accident. I picked up a 2001 GS430 but it does have an exhaust leak. That exhaust leak is located in the front right after the catalytic converters, in other words the "front pipe". Well i was wondering if it is at all possible to use the 99 GS400 Front pipe on the 01 GS430. I'm not sure if anything was changed from the 98-00 years to 01-05. Hopefully it is the same so i can save some money. Thanks

And if the front pipe is interchangeable, are the catalytic converters the same?

The 430 has a 3rd cat in the Y-pipe, but I think it's a direct bolt-on anyway.

The catback systems almost all bolt to the Y-pipe and they are all the same 98-05.

no it is not.. I removed the third cat in my 01 gs430 and replaced with a straight pipe. all is well. my sig is not updated. I have had a 98 gs400 and a 2001 gs430 both straight pipes with no problems.

What about when you have to do emission tests? Im not sure how AZ works but in california we have to run a smog check every 2 years. Taking a cat out will effect the results.
