So I pulled off my trunk lid liner...

...and I found a couple interesting things I wanted to share.

Any idea what these are for? https://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y1...803_154600.jpg

And also, are there supposed to be reflectors here? It looks like there was and then they were pulled off.

Maybe a spoilef with a brake light? Back up camera? My money is on a spoiler.

Those wires are tapped into the plug for the factory spoiler, probably for a third brake light on a spoiler, but the wires shouldn't be loose with their ends stripped. What do you mean by reflectors? Those are your license plate lights and some textured plastic to grip when lifting the trunk open.

It just looked like there was something that was removed from there because of the holes. But if it's normal, then no issue.

Thanks for answering my questions guys! :)

I think he means the holes in the grip area. I wonder what's been there too. :uh:

someone probably ran something like LED strips there by the looks of the holes and possibly the wiring

FWIW i had nothing there either in the ridged area, i have my rear view camera mounted there currently though

The holes are on every trunk garnish, they're there for water drainage. I have a brand new chrome one sitting on my desk and it has those drain holes.

iToaster. Can you send me the chrome garnish just so I can verify. I promise to send it right back. haha
