That is the TEIN HA electronic damping control box (EDFC) .
The pedals I have been meaning to change them but I have not found anything that I like yet . I have seen some in Aluminum but Aluminum will scratch easily and wear fast , so it will become ugly very quickly . I am keeping it in mind .

I have the same steering wheel black and can confirm it fits the 98-00 with no problems or gaps and the wood match is near perfect. I later upgraded to the 01-05 airbag when I bought another steering wheel because I wanted the chrome emblem

Update:
JDM 98-00 steering wheel has been purchased .
Here are a couple of pics of the actual purchased JDM steering wheel itself .
As far as I can detect by the pics , it is a perfect match or almost , on the wood .
The leather is perforated and it looks like it will match , too .
This thing is gorgeous !!!
Now to wait until it gets here .

Yes, you did and you were right .
And to sum things up , I also found my old steering wheel extractor , that I assumed I lost years ago .
So, now I am ready

I am the kind of guy that likes to plan things ahead and so far I have been trying to realize in my mind how to transfer the E-shift buttons from my steering wheel to the new one which comes skeletal , so I need to transfer everything but the buttons are my concern .
Is there a plastic connector (one of those inside that appear when you take off the airbag) where I can disconnect the cables and pop the buttons out and insert them thru the new steering and reconnect the whole thing ? it seems the logical thing to me . There must be a conduct on the back of the wheel to pass the cables thru to the connector ... can someone share some light on this ? I am not going to disassemble anything until the steering wheel arrives , but I would like to clear this particular step .
I will be disconnecting the battery half hour before , to be in the safe side . Thanks

its probably just going to be a direct swap plug and play... i believe its just a harness that connects each side of the e-shift

How did u know it was a very close match, did u have first hand experience with this steering wheel? I'm guessing the comment buy with confidence means going by your assumptions.

I have the same steering wheel for a 01-05, bought from the same people. It is damn near a perfect match and I am 100% satisfied. For the e-shift transfer, I had to cut and soder the wires back together, that was the only way to get the wires out. It is working perfectly. Goodluck with the swap!

Because this wheel has been out for years. I've seen multiple photos of this wheel before, here (I can't find the post, but you can search) and on multiple car forums where people are doing mods (cardomain). The most recent thread was about almost a year ago where someone here purchased it and was questioning how to transfer his e-shift. He said that it was fairly easy once you popped out the cover from the back.

You have to remember, our gen has been out since 1998...16 yrs to try out things. There is almost NO mod on our car that's new. It has either been done or at least discussed.

Oh...maybe it was you who made that thread a while back lol!?! If so, you never updated your thread with final pics of the wheel.

It would be a great help if I cut find that tread , It has to be another way to transfer the e-shift than to cut the cables ... how were they put in on the first place ? Its got to be some connector that allows the harness to be routed and connected .
Well, I`ll see what to do when the new wheel gets here . In the mean time I am not touching anything in my car . If anybody would like to explain or post how to do it here and some pics , it would make it a lot easier .
