Hello, idle is really really low and some misfiring CEL lights on along with the VSC and VSC off lights. Hooked up the scanner and got these codes:
C1201 - Engine communication Malfunction
P1349 - VVT malfunction

Now im assuming it could be the OCV valve on the drivers side because back in winter 2012 I got the same P1349 code and it was my passenger side OCV. I didnt change the drivers side for income reasons. As for the C1201 would someone chime in?

Change it and see how it goes. That will most likely solve your 1349 issue.

These *could* be related. Your c1201 is an engine control malfunction. When the ECM senses the problem it prohitbits use of VSC and TRAC. Are those lights on the dash as well? This could be a bad driver in the ECM, but before you get crazy with reflashing the ECM or replacement I'd try to fix the p1349 for the VVT issue first. For that code there are 4 things it could be:

valve timing problem
oil control valve ( I'd start there )
VVT controller
ECM

Always start with the easiest thing first YIf you're mechanically inclined, ou may end up needing to go through testing chart if MIL stays on after replacement of OCV. Good Luck !
