Interesting. I just got the Mothers Power Ball headlight cleaning system. Will give that one a shot when I get back to town next week. I am curious about this one though.

If anyone tries this comment back the results, I may do it today as well, I suppose even if it got yellow again it's so cheap and easy to get it off again.

Funny. I experimented using this metal/chrome polish called "NOXON 7" I got from ace hardware. After i cleaned my car. I spray the headlight with windex & while it's wet I take a dab of polish on a rag & rub it in & that dirty yellow dirt will come off. Then immediately buff with a towel. Looks like new wen done. Bout to sell my lights though. Factory hids

I generally use a metal polish to get off any yellow clouding. Works well and lights come up like new. Downside is this is only a temporary fix and needs to be done again every couple of months.

maybe if you apply a permanent coating like opti lens right after using this method, this would be gold. save lots of time from sanding and buffing.

That would be great, otherwise I'll probably get a wetsand kit

Well I only had PURE acetone so I did it anyway, so results may vary, it definitely removed a ton of yellow oxidation immediately, but these headlights were so bad it was hard to do a test on, I did notice that after u cleaned them if u would wait about 2-3 minutes u would slowly get an AWFUL HAZE forming in the lens that would not go away even after I tried to use a spray wax sealant, u can see the black housing in the pic on the right that I cleaned and the left is filthy yellow with oxidation that makes it extremely hard to see the black housing like u can after the right was cleaned...
