Default Dome Light/Key hole light/Foot well lights out

First of all, even though I am new to CL and I know some of the rules. The first being use the search button.a lot of the threads addressing this issue, were never completely answered. I have been searching on here and also the world wide web to try and solve my problem. I own a 98 GS400 and It all started out when I was trying to install led bulbs in the foot wells. I had installed the passenger side bulb and then when.I moved to the driver side, I put the led bulb in and it sparked alittle and that was it. I still have the door courtesy lights, but the foot well lights no longer come on when the door is open. Neither does the key light and the dome light only works by the manual switch.

I have checked, and rechecked every fuse with a test light and none are blown.
Does anyone know if there is a relay that is attached to the BCM No.2 in the drivers kick panel or any where in the engine bay?
Or does anyone have a repair manual or wiring diagram?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

I am assuming that there has to be a relay somewhere in the circuit. Since the fuse didn't blow, I am hoping it is a relay and not the computer it self.

I know where the dome fuse is, and have checked it but not that relay that is connected to the blue/yellow power wire. Do you know where that relay is by chance? Thanks.

Which relay do you mean? Try unplugging your battery for a few minutes.

I have unplugged my battery, for about 20 minutes. Isn't that a relay on the diagram that you posted. the blue square with the switches and the 3 light bulbs in it?

The weird part is that when I had my test light in the foot well terminal its reading a positive signal, so my theory is that, the ground must be messed up although I have not tested for ground.

Okay I see now. I figured that the circuit would have a fuse and or relay for protection before burning up or short circuiting the BCM.

I think your problem is the Body ECU not outputting the ground (#13) that's needed for those lights to come on.

On the diagram, can you tell me what the symbol is on the free ground wire coming from the body ecu. It has the vertical up and down arrows in a gray rectangle. The number is 2f<--->2d

Do you know, where I can start to back trace the ground wire? Body ecu is behind the driver kick panel right?

sounds like you burnt out the door ecu..... i did this when i did the LED turn signal DIY i made. if you have a local member near you see if they will let you borrow theirs and check it to see if thats it. a friend of mine ended up resoldering the connection for me and fixed mine but im fairly certain this is what you did BUT where you really doing something else cause installing a LED shouldnt cause this to spark, if you put it in backwards it wont have the correct polarity to come on and if you put it in correctly there is no reason it should spark unless you have a short in the wiring (maybe look back and see if any of the wiring is exposed)

BTW im 99% sure i posted the wiring diagrams for all this in that DIY

so you checked both sides of the fuse boxes located in the front kick panels (driver and passenger) as well as under the hood? normally when that "spark" happens, you pretty much popped a fuse. although you said you checked EVERY single fuse and everything is normal, i don't see how it sparked unless the previous owner "ghetto rigged" some wires to make a radio work and wires are exposed somewhere that caused a short. or maybe it's the bulb that blew... did you replace it with another bulb to see if that bulb turns on?
