Default Wheels for my Black GS400...need your opinion!

I am just about ready to pull the trigger on wheels tires, however, Im a bit torn on which to get. I would love to hear opinions on what you think.

Looking at these specs:

Front: - 19X8.5 +30 on 225/35R19
Rear: - 19X9.5 +25 on 255/35R19

I am looking at thse wheels:

TSW Jarama (Black or Hyper Silver)
TSW Thruxton
TSW Laguna

Im on a bit of a budget and dont want to spend more than $1800 or so on the set.

take a picture of your car and then mock the wheels up in photoshop. that will give you the best visual. sometimes rims look great in a picture by themselves, until you throw them on a car and they look terrible

Gotcha...I'll do that. I saw your post where you did that on your ride, but with the paint schemes. Excellent way to do it. I also scoured the web and looked for my car and color with the particular rims. It really gave a better impression and you are 100% right...as soon as I saw them on the car, i absolutely hated them. Some I liked and once seen on a car, l liked all the more.

Thanks Seven, sure appreciate it.

I'm a fan of 5 spoke wheels on our cars, however none of those do much for me. If I were you I'd keep an eye on the classifieds and look for a nice used set that catches your eye. You'll probably be able to find a high quality wheel within your budget that you'll be much happier with in the long run.

Here's mine with a little thicker spokes just to give you an idea. In the end it comes down to personal taste, everyone's is different and that's what makes it interesting, so go with what you like but buying quality the first time will save you money down the road!

Out of all the wheels you posted, if I were to choose, I'd go with the ones that look like the SSR GT3's. Don't think you can go wrong with that look.

Here's a thread with a pic of a black GS on TSW Thruxtons
