Default All Chrome ( DIY ) Grille** 4 your GS**

My very first mod.

I wanted to share the steps to an all chrome GS Grille

For those of you that perfer all chrome versus just chroming the bars.

Item used: KLEAN STRIP

please use extreme caution.....very strong product. triple up on safety gloves.

here is a shot of half way done

For the "All Chrome Look" simply spray the entire grille. ( make sure you do sides as well)

Let sit for 3 minutes.......you will begin to see paint shrink and fall off.

Next, you simply remove paint ( not scrape) using any tool you wish.

to reveal chrome

for best results.....take outside and high pressure hose it off

whallla

and there you have it folks............alll chrome, very easy, very fast.......and ALL CHROME

u got to be kidding!!!
I wish this thread was out 6 months ago.
I tried using the orange stuff to chrome out the entire grill and did not work. It took me over 3 hours to completely chrome it using all types of strippers.
this is great news to all people looking to chrome their grills.

very nice.

just keep in mind, once you spray on the paint stripper, wait a little and the black paint will come off. HOWEVER, don't want too long, take out the black and wipe it clean. if you want long enough, it will happily eat throught the chrome as well!

Nice, I have always wondered how the grill would look completely chromed on a Black Cherry. Now I know. I may try this, although having just the slats done looks nice too.

I have been wondering what you have been up to GATO. The chrome looks sweet on the black cherry. Whats next?
