Default E-Shifting on GS

I have a 99 gs400 with the e-shifting option and i was wondering if you guys let off the gas while shifting like a normal manual car? or do you keep the gas down? does it matter?

keep the foot on the gas, afterall it's still automatic

Just let off the gas when u want to show of the Torque in 2nd or third it just stays in that gear and when u stomp again u get some crazy pull
