Default Tight steering

For a while now I have experienced my wheel being very hard to turn, mainly when not in motion which can make it difficult to park. I was told this was the result of a faulty drive shaft. My question is does this sound like it could be the problem? The individual did show me where the drive shaft was a little hard to rotate. I'm ready to change this part on my own seeing as though I am mechanically inclined. Does anyone have pointers are a video to point me to?

Are there any notable sounds when you turn your steering wheel?

Its possible that your power steering pump is going out. Check the fluid while you're at it.

First things first.. Didn't want to state the obvious, but agreed; doesn't hurt to check.
