Hey everybody,

I'm brand new to the site and already I've found it to be a great source of information. I saw a few other people post similar threads like this so I decided to upload some pics from my phone of my Lexus and share ... hope you like!

the first day I got the car, the tires & wheels were in bad shape

but not to fear, the 22's are here

my baby after a polish and wax

the stock wheels re-chromed, looking better than ever

i've upgraded the navigation DVD, changed air and cabin air filters, had the suspension raised an inch in the front to account for the large wheels/tires ... not sure what's next. any thoughts, comments, questions would be appreciated!

everybody has there own taste customize as you please.

definitely look up maintenance and know problems on our cars before you start dumping money in other stuff. shouldn't be a major problem for you since you have a later year. welcome

I'm a bit shocked by the responses so far ... I think it looks great (of course I'd say that, I'm the owner but still). The only thing I didn't like was the appearance of the wheels being staggered because of the front suspension lift.

another pic of her ...

It's your car so if you like it that's all that matters. I'm partial to the 17"...lol. I don't have a problem with larger wheels, the set up has to be better. I don't like the front jacked up and it looks like the front two wheels are sticking out. Offsets not right?. With that said I can't stand the butt ugly slammed look some members have with super negative camber. That ish is trash. Give me staggered 20" and a small drop to kill wheel space, that's my preferred look.

Well, I don't like the added weight and lack of handling with the larger wheels, that's for sure. So once I get tires for the 17s, I'll probably have them put back on and sell the wheels. Might wait til the Fall to do that though.

I'm having the wheels balanced and the suspension dropped back down tomorrow...and the wheels aren't offset, might appear that way due to the suspension and well, they're just THAT big. lol.

Man if you like don't take them off. Everyone has different opinions. There is actually a Dubz subgroup here, but no one post there lol. If I had rims on my car it wouldn't matter what people thought of them, I would still ride it. I'm purposely driving this car stock without rims because I've done rims and mods in the past with my old cars. I won't look at buying rims until I purchase the new car I'm eyeing...the Maserati Quatt or Benz CL 550.

Welcome to the club

As for the 22's, dont expect too much support for them on here. Club Lexus is pretty biased since most of its modifying members are VIP or Race/Drift. But most our members are cool best place for information Just bag your car and you'll be fine... Thats what I did

Well, thanks for the welcome everyone! I understand that the big wheels aren't for everyone. I like them probably because I'm young and from the south... I see rims bigger than mine everyday. Regardless, I appreciate all the comments and views and do trust, I won't be taking them off because someone on this site doesn't like them.

This site is already hooking me up! I was amazing people yesterday with the unlock key on the remote putting down all the windows and opening the sunroof! lol. I even showed a few of my friends how they could do it on their cars (BMW & Benz). Also replaced my cabin air filter today.

Mr Jokster, I love how you edited that pic, though I'm still not sold on the air ride. A friend of mine was telling me about it the other day, he swears by them, so maybe I'll look into that. I'm sure having an air ride would be better when I switch back to the stocks too.
