Could you help me out to choose right wheels for 2003 Lexus GS300?

Hi guys! I am recently thinking about changing 2003 Lexus GS300 wheels. I searched a lil and found this

http://www.discounttire.com/dtcs/fin...8052&rc=MIDINT

I don't know if these wheels fit for my car. The web site says the wheels that I found fit but I wanna know the size of the wheel is too big or too small. Any idea??

Discount Tires sales A LOT of wheels and tires. If their site recommends those for your car then I am 99.9% sure they will fit.

Those are dual bolt pattern wheels which means they fit twice as many applications. I personally love mesh wheels (have them on my GS) but hate dual bolt pattern wheels - they just look too cheap/universal to me. There are lots of options available in this style at many different price points so shop around a little. And remember that these are going on YOUR CAR so consider all input but make the choice based on your opinion.

I too have a very similar style mesh wheel on my gs. Mine just has a little lip to it, as the pic to the link you provided doesn't have one. My mesh wheels are universal also, and I hate that. Debonair is right. It does make it look cheappy! And possibly it could get jacked off the car as it fits more vehicle applications. Lol. I put the mesh wheels on mine cuz they look better than stock for now and it was a darn good deal. Dont be overly influenced by other peoples opinions. Everyone has their own taste and style. You just gotta find yours.

I'd recommend going to a mom and pop wheel place and see ALL your options. Wheels at places like Discount Tire have mostly commercial style mass-produced wheels. Mom and pop places have a smorgasbord of a selection. its amazing what difference an extra "line, lip or concave" you'd find (on a non commercial wheel ) can accentuate the very style you like :)

If you like this type of wheel I would go with the Forgestar F14's. They are 1 piece forged, super light and super strong...they are also pretty affordable. GL!

i agree. Discount is Very commercial "safe" and limited selection. But they offer nothing near aggressive. They wouldn't even sell me the Privat's with the subtle +25 offset and slightly stretched tires. Which were mild compared to the Camber Kings around here. I got mine out of a place in CA like i usually do. And my final price was considerably cheaper than Discount in the long run.

One more thing. You can post those wheels and a picture of your car in the Photoshop Forum here and one of us will throw them on your car so you can get a visual. I probably photoshopped 30 wheels on my car before i pulled a trigger. A lot of wheels look awesome until you see what the design looks like on your 2GS

Just comes down to what you want in the end! Are you looking for a more sporty design, like the mesh ones you posted, or something that looks more luxury, like concave or deep dish wheels?

Also what size wheels do you want? Something the same or close to stock just to replace OEM wheels, or do you want to go big? The GS can fit 18 ,19, and 20 inch sizes, so keep that in mind! For example, here's another 2nd gen on our 20" CV3's

There's a thread here if you have any questions about offset/width/tire sizes and other fitment questions. >> https://www.clublexus.com/forums/gs-...thread-33.html

And ultimately, what's your budget on wheels and tires? That will definitely narrow down your search a lot. Check out the Classifieds on here, and the local tire shops, like the other guys have said, and see what they've got! Good luck with the search and post some pictures when you get some new shoes! :D

Discount Tire does not advertise our wheels on their site but they are available there if you go to the store :)

If your going to go with 17" wheels why not upgrade to 7 spokes gs430 wheels

MikeFoxx 04-04-13 01:06 PM

Vossens are dope

Avant Garde M359 or M310 also make a similar wheel that doesn't cost that much.
