Lovely color, it's a shame about the clear coat.

Kinda looks like morning frost since the windows are fogged up too, at least I hope it is.

Probably, I totally forgot about morning frost as factor considering I live in Arizona, it just drops to 50f here and that's about it.

yeah, it's totally morning frost..the paint is pretty good, it had been repainted 7-8 years ago according to the po who had owned it since '03, got a few dings, and the driver's side headlight is rough, but it's not bad for 1400 bucks

Thumbs up

[QUOTE=DWCOILE;10380040]well it was time for maintenance. Replaced the timing belt-water pump complete kit, new starter (Note use toyota parts on these jobs), serpentine belt, spark plugs, struts (Bilstein are a little softer than OE with lowering springs FYI),

Went with Denson ans Aisin parts purchased from Amazon.

Like seeing mileage like this. Good job!

Got the Tanabe Medalion exhaust installed. It sounds very good with a nice deep tone especially with the IS300 performance long tube header and the GS300 Megan Racing mid pipe.

Nice, is it a free air/no box type sub? What do you have for a head unit?

I’ve got the same setup.
Q: Have you noticed a deeper tone once the engine has fully warmed up? Like after you’ve been on the highway for a bit, park and then listened to the exhaust note?

To be honest its been very cold lately around 10 degrees lately so it definitely sounds a bit more deeper with the colder weather but even once warmed up, it still has a similar deep tone from when the motor was first started.

It also has a light single backfire around 3k rpms on de-acceleration which is what my Supra does around that rpm range too. Do you notice any of that backfire sound on your exhaust set-up?

Yeah, it works well as an oem replacement and definitely thumps harder. However, it is nothing compared to my old 12" Alpine Type-R in a ported box. With the same amp, it was probably about 4 times louder. Also, the rear deck rattles like crazy, mostly due to the seat belt mechanisms. I carry stuff in my trunk and with my air suspension, I don't have the space for a box anymore.

Nothing too crazy just did several 01+ OEM upgrades to my 99 GS300:

1) Brand new updated grill
2) Updated black/silver instrument bezel
3) Wood steering wheel from 01 RX300
4) Rear-view mirror with compass
5) 01+ tail lights
6) Chrome shifter bezel
7) Wood SD ashtray
8) 01+ radio upgrade in-process with Grom Aux audio input

Headed to paint. Did as much prep as I could. We’ll see how it turns out.

Took as much off as possible.

For the price and the age of the car, Macco works for me. This shop does decent work. They’re gonna prime, seal, base and clear it.
