My GS400 Won't start

I started my GS400 and it ran for about a second or two and then cut off. Now it won't start. Sound as if it is turning over, but not sure. I had the timing belt, tentioners and water pump done a year ago by a former Lexus Master mechanic. I called him and he says he does not think its the belt. I also have a Subaru that did the exact same thing and sounded the same, and it was the belt. Now I'm pulling heads on that. It was an interference engine. Does anybody have any other ideas other than timing belt. I can't get it to my Lexus guy for another week. His shop is full.

Thanks

Can u hear ur fuel pump

Fuel. Spark. Air. Timing.

One of those 4 is malfunctioning. They're all relatively easy to check for. Though, I'd lean heavily towards fuel or timing based on your description of the issue.

Do you have any MIL codes? An OBD-II scanner would come in handy and may tell you what's up.

Listen for the fuel pump. Most likely the problem. Any CEL? If you do, pull them FIRST to pinpoint the problematic part. GL

Looks like you'll need a new car, just start parting this out. Lol I call dibs, j/k

Do you have power ? Do All the dash lights come on? Is it cranking? Water in your fuel? Starter clicking? We need a better discription of your scenario.

The only code is a bank sensor code. Thats been on for a while. All I do is disconnect the battery cable for 10 mins and the code clears for about a month. Mechanic told me not to try to start it again, just incase it is the timimg, because it is an interference engine.

Rear left passenger seat. Pull off the whole seat. Held by either three or four bolts, can't remember exactly since I replaced my fuel filter. Good luck.
