Default Step/Courtesy Light Bulb LED upgrade

Does anyone know what LED I should get to replace these bulbs on my 2000 GS300? I ordered the dome light LED but want to do the step lights.

I know which one you're talking about.

OP search under the ''Lighting" forum for LED Interior Conversion thread. It was made by jacksonvp, do advanced search and that name and it'll pop up.

Hopefully I'm not resurrecting on old thread but Didnt want to start a new one.

I bought some LED bulbs for my step/courtesy lights. And they are the ones that only have 2 pins. One on each side to make contact inside the housing. So you have to be very careful in placing so they make contact and light up. Does anyone know a trick or if its possible put something metallic around the base of the light bulb so it will make a better contact to get power. There's gotta be something I can do. Cause the minute I install these and shut the door. They are going to shimmy just that much to make them not work. open to ideas. Just want these bulbs to work.

Bend the contacts on the door inward. Kinda like when you squeeze a plug before putting it in socket so it can grasp it better. If you've never done that... Theres yet another trick for ya
