I had a friend of mine with a 05 GS 430 just like yours, he installed all the sport design emblems, ash tray, door sills that said sport design. I wonder if it's the same one. He also replaced all the stuff you said and the radiator with around the same mileage. That car use to stay in glendale CA.

nope, never had a Sport Design to compare it to..... since your a lexus tech, you should be able to come across one for comparison im sure.i dunno why anyone would spend all that $ to buy SD stuff to put on a GS430 though especially the emblems on the fenders, the interior upgrades i would do but not the exterior.

how much did you pick her up for?

I agree 100%. Even if I had a real sport design I'd remove those ugly fender emblems! The sport design emblems that come with the 1IS are way more discreet and tasteful. OP nice GS, you found a winner for real!

I've never seen one before personally. I'm kind of on the fence about the fender emblems, though I will admit before I knew what they were I thought they were a bit tacky.

After it's all said and done I will have shelled out $12,200. Way beyond my $8k budget but I couldn't let a car this clean be passed up.

From what i understand sport design and gs430 have same suspension, perforated leather vs non in a regular gs300, wood ashtray labeled sport design, fender emblems, and like someone mentioned different steering ecu. If it was a 2003 the SP had darkened headleights, wood wheel, and different fender emblems than the 2002.
