Default what a bad day

was driving on the high way doing 60 miles, next thing i smell some thing like rubber burning and then the car starts shaking. i pull over thinking its a flat, jack up the car, took out the wheel only to see that the tire is done.

That is tough on you - but moreover a blow out like that could be very dangerous and someone could have very easily been injured if the car careered out of control...

What make and type of tires were you driving on?

Great to see that you are still around safe and sound and up for the post...

yea definitely mounted backwards but is that what caused it because it doesn't look like there was much of a stretch going on. this kind of scares me because that could of been bad. Im happy your safe man

Not enough air pressure? Causes tire to debead when going over tough roads and kept driving causing it to blow.

look's like it's been chopping it'self, maybe on the ball-joint... you can see rub mark's next too the tear where it look's like it's been touching something.

i took a look at the tire and turns out it was mounted back ward. only drove like 5000 miles on them. i bought the rims and tires from a guy in houston texas, he had them on his nissan 350z. i guess the shop he went to must have put them wrong. i should have checked the tire direction before i instaled them, but anyway things happen.
