Default Bought a 1998 GS400 few days ago!!

Hello all,

I recently bought a GS400 with some goodies and such and issues of its own, but overall I love the car and it is very comfortable and grown man like. I own a NISMO 350z and 1990 Nissan 240sx SR20det and this gs is so smooth, especially with the V8. I wanted to introduce myself and also ask for some help in locating parts/issues that I can't quite seem to find the exact answer on unless I'm using the wrong terminology.

1998 GS400 In Pearl White with beige interior and wood grain accent (115,121 mi)
2 10" Sony Xplod 1100w sub-woofers in ported box
Staggered set of 19" Rays Wheels on Falken fk452's (I do not know the widths)
SRT Intake
JVC DVD, USB, SAT, 6.5" Double DIn
Unknown Dual 4.5" catback polished exhaust
Megan Coilovers (EZ version I believe)
Full LED panel conversion (except in glove box and all foot wells)
LED Tail lights (trunk lights are single bulb but soon to change to LED)
Junction Produce Black/white logo neck pads for front
Junction Produce Curtains (front/rear)
6000K HID (unknown brand or watts)
Sea Foam treatment/ MAF Cleaned/ Throttle Body Cleaned

Products En Route:

Weather Tech rain Guards
DDM 35w 3000k Fog kit
Clear Side Bumper Markers w/ Amber LED bulbs
Junction Produce Large Gold Tsuna Rope
2x Junction Produce Black/white logo pillow cushions
Goodridge SS brake lines
Hawk HPS pads (all around)
NEW Inner/outer tie rods (front)
NEW lower ball joints (front)
Door actuators (bought from sticky thread, great info!)
Lextasy Blue LED Key Ring
Cool White LED Puddle lights all around
Enlarge Y-pipe to 2.5" and go with straight thru resonator

Now to the issues i'm having.....

VSC switch does not work at all.
How to know if I have memory mirrors?
Where to get the CD exchanger thing from (the one in glovebox)
remote FOB is weak, where to buy new one for cheaper?
Cig lighter does not work
12v socket does not work
How to adjust headlight beam angle?

And again, HI ALL!!!

And again, HI ALL!!!
1. Check fuses.

2. You do have memory mirrors. Check all fuses if they aren't working.

3. The magazine can be found in the classifieds. If not, eBay.

4. https://www.clublexus.com/forums/gs-...hing-else.html

5. It's more than likely just a fuse, but look at this thread in case it isn't: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/gs-...t-working.html

6. There are 8mm bolts behind the headlight. There is one to move the headlight beam vertically, and one to move it horizontally.

Welcome to our side of the interwebs.

Thank you all for the greetings so far!!! I enjoy her very much, I have more plans for her as its easier to buy parts for some reason for the GS than it is for my NISMO. I can't post pic's of the NISMO since it is currently undergoing surgery for hot import nights in december. Same for my 240sx which is undergoing surgery due to 7 horrible previous owners. The GS is currently undergoing wheel stud change as i tried to use my spacers from my nissan to the lexus and ended up destroying the studs on the rear hub, so i'll have her back tomorrow and i'll get better pictures!!

On a side note, i noticed my shifter looks like it should have a cover piece inbetween where the shifter rides but there's nothing there and so alot of heat flows thru but nothing i can't stand. Just wondering what that piece is so I can replace it. And the shifter is a bit hard to shift into all gears, could it be the mount or a bushing or a pivot fork? Also, my steering wheel has a cover on the lower left side missing and was wondering what that part number is?

Also, this link is my thread from my350z.com. I do not have a progress build on zilvia.net as there is just too much going on that i'd just rather shop for parts I need to replace.

by your description it sounds like shifter trim....but its only a guess without a picture man.they come OEM in chrome or non chrome. chrome ones are harder to find since they became discontinued....black chrome ones are available

it sounds like someone upgraded your wheel probably to a GS430 wheel if you have a wood wheel and either didn't replace the audio controls (as they wouldn't function on your car anyways) or upgraded to a wood wheel from a GS300 or a RX and didn't buy the cover for it but again were not psychic man, post a picture
