Hi all,

Haven't posted anything for some time, because our 99 GS400 has been running like a champ and has needed absolutely nothing, except regular maintenance. These cars are truly awesome and we plan to keep her around, until I have no options left. Eight happy years so far, so that may be a while

Anyway, we've recently noticed a strange and very random buzzing/distortion that seems to pop up on occasion, then stops for a while, then starts up again. It seems to protest longer trips and keeps rearing it's ugly head when we have no options but to hum for 300+ miles.

Anyone had this issue? Ours has the Nakamichi deck w/o navi. An amp capacitor maybe?

If you have had this issue, how was it resolved? I called a couple of repair shops and they said they couldn't do anything with the Naks, because they couldn't get any support, so I'm stuck deciding, if this is the end of the line for the factory deck, or if it can be repaired!
