Default 217K unveiling

I'm new to this forum but wanted to post a pic of my baby I've had since 2004.

98 GS300
18" Factory 3rd gen wheels
Tein Flex Coilovers
UPRD Exhaust

Was my former business car, now barely driven but just turned 217K and still solid.

Let me know what you think.

Looks solid! How many timing belts were done and what major repairs?

2 timing belts. One at 90K and the other at 187K (Along with the water pump). Besides that, just oil changes in my garage every 5K.

Bulletproof

Except the AC just stopped working. Compressor kicks on, but no cold air. Not sure if it has a clutch that isn't engaging.

Mind tell us at what mileage the AC went out? Or what year? Car looks great man. A testament to the build.

AC just went out this year, about 2 months ago. Right at about 215K.

Have no clue how to fix. I tried charging with R-134a, but the pressure was fine and it didn't want to take anymore. Compressor clicks on, but no cold air.

Any one have any suggestions?

sounds like the compressor. 200k is right around the time that they go out. DO NOT GO TO THE DEALERSHIP to get one. they'll charge you damn near what you paid for the car.

get one thats been rebuilt. its still gonna run you about 8 bills to get it fixed.
