in orange county and los angeles these cars are a dime a dozen. old people, young people, stock, only wheels,fully modded we see them all. they are no big deal here,i see a lambo, ferarri, rolls royces, bentlys,and porsche;s on the daily so a 10+year old lex is really nothin

^Same here, but i'd imagine people would think its old but well kept and maintained. People who aren't enthusiast or not to nolegiable think its a late 2000s model, they also trip out about the carbon fiber hood and retrofit and think its stock. "Damn I didn't know Lexus made cars like this!"

LOL I get that a lot too, people who don't know a lot about cars always think it's like an 05 or 06 and I'm like nah it's a 99 lol unfortunately being only 21 a lot of older men and sometimes women will give me dirty looks getting into my car even though they may not realize their new ford or camry is worth a good amount more than my GS with 200k

Got pulled over once for not stopping at a stop sign (that I did clearly stop at btw) and the cop said to me "driving daddy's car around thinking you don't have to obey the law" I was really pissed off about that

Lol. I second this...... I actually had 3 different occasions where sketchy people slowly walked up to my car as if no one could see them and asked me in a whispering voice "what am I selling". I was like B!T@#!!!!!! Get out a here before cops see you by my car...... hahahaha. It's funny now, but at the time I was paranoid for a few hours as cops do patrol that area frequently.
