It's been great CL

Well, I knew this day would come one day, but it has finally arrived. After almost 10 years and 265,000 miles, its time for me to move on and it's time to pass the car to someone else to enjoy.

Even with an amazing 265,000 miles, the car still runs like a champ. Got to love Toyota.

I'm still trying to figure out what to part out and leave on the car, but I will be posting a vehicle and part out thread in the next week or so.

Just wanted to thank all the great friends I have made, the 2GS family, and the whole CL community. Its good bye for now, but not forever.

Some pictures through memory lane (Before the part out)….

HAHA.... Thanks for the kinds words everyone. I plan on coming back eventually, with the hope of getting an RX in about a year, but for now, going to the opposite extreme.... Prius. V8 to Hybrid.... :egads: I'll be going from filling up once a week to once a month....

Every dog has its day. Let us know if the savings in fuel consumption out weight the luxury, comfort, power, and boss cred that the GS has. In the meantime, let me know if you'll sell the L-tuned steering ecu and whatever that black license plate garnish thingy is pls thx!

say it ain't so! haven't seen you in ages. can't believe you're moving on.

i might have to buy your car as a whole to keep it as a whole.

Getting a new Prius?

If so, most people have the misconception that they will save money on gas. Your car payment will offset any savings you would have.

Car paid off+low insurance coverage+still not bad gas mileage= keep the GS.....

A used VW TDI for half or more of the price of a Prius gets better mpg....with out the stupid looks, and stereotype.....

Just food for thought.....

I have rented prius and recently while my car was in the shop had one from the dealer. Had it for 3 days and the gas level never moved.... But.... I got NO respect on the road. I would buy one but i'd have to keep something sick in rotation too. U'll save money but make sure u get the extended warranty... They will get u on maintenance towards the end of the road.
