I'm Screwed - Actuator Motor Replacement Problem

I'm supposed to leave for vacation in 2 days and I'm in a pickle.
I replaced the drivers door actuator motor this afternoon was was testing it out. I put everything back together and layed the door panel back on the door. I closed it and proceeded to test the locks.
Now the door won't open and won't unlock !! When I manually flip the unlock switch, it doesn't feel solid - like maybe the cable slipped out of the collar that holds it.
How in the world am I going to acces the lock with the door closed.

Whew !!!!! Managed to get the door open by simultaneously lifting the door panel while pulling up on the outside door latch. The locking cable had slipped out of it's attachment to the door handle. Now everything works. The only weird this is when you lock the doors from the switch on the drivers door, I hear the lock click, the door is now locked and then you hear it click again - door still locked. I guess this is no big deal as long as everything continues to work.
The drivers side rear door will only lock or unlock using the manual switch in it's door. I guess that actuator motor is toast also. That will have to wait until after vacation.

Pry the door panel off enough and manually open the door

Maybe the cable came off the door handle area? I did 1 yesterday and it had 4 cables that u need to pop back in.. 2 on the outside door handle and 2 on the inside door handle

No way to get the panel off with the door closed and locked. See my original post for follow up.

Yep exactly, as long as the screws arent in the panel yet, i used a screwdriver, It really sucks but what are u gonna do, make sure u put a rag against the metal of the screwdriver u are using to pry against the panel with the seatbelt is, if not, u will ruin that leather panel with screwdriver marks like i did....

Easy fix! U did the DIY rc motors or bought the whole thing? Costed me $17 for 4 rc motors and 3-4 hours to install 3 of them :D big saving lol

I plan to do the same thing, I hope I don't run into any "door won't open" situations!

U can pry the actuator open and replace the small motor that is bad instead of buying a new actuator, i did it, not fun but it works and i saved hundreds as opposed to several motors for like $10 on ebay, theres a DIY on here about it....

The DIY thread is stickied, actually at the very top of the page at the moment. I did one with this method, well worth the savings.
