Default Rpm

Going about 70-75mph... is it normal for RMPs to be bout 4,000RPM?

That seems high...if I recall I'm at around 2500-2700 at those speeds with a 98 gs4.

damn... i got a 98 gs300 and i noticed it today. Is any other gs300's experiencing this? if not how would i go about fixing it?

Looks like ur gs is not going to 5th gear. Make sure you are on D, not D4.

hahaha... maybe i should've mentioned my fiance called and told me that. She's having her car worked on and she drove mine and noticed it. My first instinct was to hop on here and ask the pros. lol.. i'll have to double check when i drive it tonight. Thanks for the input guys.

IIRC it is normal. I just chopped it up as the gear ratio.

My GS430 @ 80mph is around 2600rpm

The 400 and 430s have different gears than 300's right? I checked last night and yep, I was at about 3k at 70 (as usual) and yea all gears switched.

So figured she did have it in D4 instead of D. Around 75mph I'm at 3,000RPM. Thanks for all the input guys.
