My little brake project for this weekend **UPDATED**

Gonna do a little brake upgrade this weekend. It was time for new pads and rotors so I decided to upgrade while I was at it. I'll post more pics of the install when I do it.

Nice upgrade! I see you got the paint system there. If I can give one word of advice, powder coat your calipers. When I was doing my upgrade some members on here told me to do it instead of paint but I didn't think I needed to. Couple months later I bought another set of brake calipers to send out to get powder coated because the paint started to chip on the ones on the car. Once the paint chips your kinda screwed cause then it starts flakin off little by little. I had to purchase all new calipers, take em apart, send them out for powder coating, put them back together and then change them all out on the car.

Another note, this may or may not happen. Once you change out the calipers you may have a soft pedal, even after you bleed them. You'll have to take the car to a proffesional brake tech that has the right equipment to bleed your brakes correctly. Hope everything goes smoothly and good luck.

I like the calipers just the way they are.

I was thinking about leaving the calipers alone, but I wanted them gloss black. I have some Lexus stickers to put on them so they'll look clean & factory. I friend of mine used the same paint on his IS-F and they turned out great. I've already sanded them so no going back now. Gonna paint them later today.

Looks like a fun project. You can't go wrong with gloss black.

Leave the calipers as they are. Nothing looks better than oem Supra calipers. Nice upgrade.

I would have them painted or powder coated the old TRD theme since they're the same calipers

I thought about doing the TRD emblems on red, but I'm pretty low key. I know I have Supra brakes. Don't really care if everyone else knows. People who know what's up will notice they are not stock GS brakes. I don't need to stunt lol. Put 2 coats of paint on last night. I'll post pics once I put on the Lexus emblems and put on a couple coats of clear.

Here's some pics of the rotors being prepped, sanded, and ready for clear coat.

They came out great. Are you going to match the rear calipers?
