Default Do I need a camber kit?

I am looking to slam my gs400 on Megan ez coilovers. Can I install them with my stock cambers or do I need a camber kit? Sorry if this is a noob question. Appreciate the help.

you dont need any camber if youre installing coilovers. your stock wheels will camber itself. you'll need it if youre going to run aftermarket wheels or trying to go lower.

d760, your reply really confuses me. You do know what camber kits are for right? Stock and aftermarket wheels will likely experience negative camber as a result of lowering. No matter what wheels you have on, if you lower your car its gona mess up the alignment.

818GS..
I have Megan EZ's, however I am still debating on which camber kit to get, ever since lowering my car 1.5 years ago i have been through two sets of front tires and going on to my third one this week.

You dont NEED a camber kit, however it may help you. The problem i have found is that the available ones have issues. Just search for camber kit and there are so many 'problems' and 'unanswered' questions i dont even know where to begin. Someone with maybe the SPC kit can chime in.

So in short, just buy your Coilovers and it doesnt matter what wheels you have on. Get a GOOD alignment from a good shop and THEN you will see what you need to do.

you can try getting camber bolts for the rears and control arms in the front. thats what a mechanic told me to do.

Im pretty sure your mechanic is mistaken because what the heck are camber bolts? If there was such a fix then everyone would be getting these bolts.

What works for one car likely wont work for many others.

818 i dont have any pics but the camber is like more than neg 3 in the front

theres a lot of wrong/misguided answers in this thread..

you do NOT need a camber kit in order to lower your car, like jstuff said. your perfectly fine lowering your car without them.

i could go into a huge lengthy discussion about camber / toe but basically the all mighty bad CAMBER is not what you have to worry about (although it in an issue as opposed to the toe)

zero out the toe or get it as close to zero as possible.

camber kits are used to correct your camber and get it back to normal. then again camber kits have been an issue for for some of the currently available ones in the market
