im looking for cheap winter wheels for my 235/17 size tires, will is300 or is250 17' wheels work?
seen a lot cheap IS 17' rims on craigslist or is it better to wait and look for GS 17' rims?

I use 16" first gen GS wheels and 225/55/16 tires. For winter you will get better snow performance with the smaller tire and you will pay less money for tires and wheels.

I had a set of Blizzak 235/45/17 on stock rims and I found them to be almost useless on my GS4. Admittedly they were about half worn but I like to think that with 30 years of Canadian winter driving I know how to handle a car with half worn tires. I just didn't like the bigger tires. for winter. I switched to 16" wheels and tires and had much better results.

I sold my 17inch tires...
