I've been trying to dive into the subject of the aristo vs supra fans and the difference lie in the solenoid arrangement. As to why, the best I can guess is that the aristo is like the US GE trans in that it acts like a 5 speed by overdriving between 1 and 2 gear. Therefore I can't imagine why you couldn't skip over that shift and treat as a true 4 speed. His tuner just may have not preferred to mess with it.
The video says it's private and won't play?? Did you change the permissions on it since you posted it? I must have missed this post a few months back, I didn't get to catch the vid.
