Default Power steering pump replaced twice, still having issues Help!!!

Can anyone offer me some clarity as to what the heck maybe going on with my power-steering in my gs400, Now this is the second replacement pump done by a certified mechanic and im still having issues and i dont feel the mechanic knows whats going on either. The first replacement down right failed and leaked within a day but it was a re manufactured pump so i took the car back and got him to use an OEM new pump and now my power steering is worst than ever it is non existent unless your giving the car gas, but when you rev the engine the pump seems to work flawless so now my powersteering comes and goes as it pleases. Does anyone know what could cause this?

If its still leaking replace the hoses. Also might want to get the system/rack flushed.

Its not leaking now just the issue with the pump kicking in only when the RPM's are raised by hitting the accelerator.

Problem could be:

Poor quality parts
Improper installation
Improper pulley installation
Failure to properly purge the system of air
Failure to flush and replace fluid
Failure to use correct fluid
Combination of the above
*
Did you get new hoses?

For the uz engine I have in my ls I had a leak changed the ps pump and still leaked so changed the pressure hose from the pump to the rack and blocked off the iacv maybe that's what might be wrong with yours? Don't know if the system is exactly the same but check it out maybe you need to clean it. Has two vacuum hoses going to it just a thought...

Right, it does not leak, is that the only reason one would block off the iacv? If so I guess then I wouldn't need that done.

If u can replace it with a new one then do so but the cheaper way out is to find a bolt with the correct thread pitch that fits perfectly and the washer they use for the ps hose and plug it up might try to clean the iacv first be careful cause a sufficient amt of fluid will come out

Been looking at this as I've been experiencing this and you need a new sensor ($120) at dealer.
