I too have heard a lot of good things about the Continentals. I used the Kuhmo Ecsta on my Trans Am. Traction was acceptable but I can't speak on any other qualities.

What is the purpose of the tires? As in, are you concerned more about traction, ride noise, price, or what?

had the kuhmo ecstas on my car when i bought it. seemed to ride pretty well, but not sure how many miles they lasted. did u check any tire websites for reviews? tirerack.com is usually pretty good.

As far as purpose goes, I want a very quiet, and smooth tire, produced with performance luxury sedans in mine but also something that will perform very well when I want to, put it too it, and go 'nuts' on the back country farm roads. Which reminds me I do not drive faster than 130 so I can even live with an 'H' speed rating like I have now but the 18 size tires I'm getting are always higher than that anyways. I live in SE Wisconsin. The car is not used from 12-1 thru 4-1 each winter. I put on 4-5K miles a year so longevity is not a big concern and I do a majority of Interstate and then some puting around town. Rarely drive in rain but still want to be able too. Price is somewhat a concern just because the size I'm buying is expensive but would pay as much as $200/tire to find the right one. Will not be on any race tracks with these specific tires. Please put a number to the tires you rate if you feel comfortable with your knowledge of them. Thanks
