I really need to save this reply in a word file or something for when these threads come up.. For lowering springs you're going to need sport shocks also, so it's not just springs you'll be buying.

Please read below.

"Even if you're not looking to dump, IMHO, it'd be a better investment. Shocks are like what? 400+? Then the springs I know are at least 200. You're already up to 600 and you haven't even had the springs installed to the new struts yet. Shops charge for that also, THEN to install them onto the car they'll prolly charge more. At least another 200, so you're up to $800, which is $100 more than a brand new set of Megan EZ's and 100 less than the LP's. You might as well spend $700 or buy a used set with only a few thousand miles for a little bit less than that and bolt them in. It's seriously such an easy job and if you have someone with you that's done it a few times you can install all four sides within 2-3 hours time. Maybe even less if you guys are able to work on two sides at a time.

Save yourself all the labor cost and extra cost on the spring/strut combo and get yourself some Megan Coilovers. Then you can MAKE SURE you have a even drop and go where you want to, then if you want to go even a 1/4'' lower you can make it happen. Seriously think it over. I remember when I was first getting into the modding game and I said "Oh I want DF's on some struts setup, that's it.", then I talked to a few people that I met and when I told them this they were 100% against it and talked me out of it. I'm now on Megan EZ's and don't regret the decision one bit."

Well i can do installation my self so no charge on that and i plan on leaveing it stock shocks, so i just get the lowering springs an have it lowered thats it with the Megan Lowering Springs 2 inch drop rate, and im not "barley getting into the modding game" i had a honda EK9 on Tein Coilovers, and my second car is a 240sx Coupe on Tein Coilovers, an the gs300 is just to Cruise down the street for work an back home nothing crazy, i don't want it Slammed look or Tuckd just look lowered, plus im on a big budget got payments on a 09 R1.

Not sure I necessarily agree with the coil over route either. Ride comfort would be quite a bit worse on those coil overs. There's a reason those coil overs cost what they do, the damper just isn't so great.
